Can you use frozen carrots to make Mustard Carrots?

Yes you can use frozen carrots to make mustard sauce carrots!

Frozen carrots have already been partially cooked, so you don’t want to simmer them as long as fresh carrots.

Just 30-60 seconds or so to get any ice crystals off the outside and to heat the carrots through.

Then follow the recipe as normal, coating the carrots in the brown sugar mustard glaze.

Can I use regular carrots to make Mustard Carrots?

Yes you can use regular carrots to make these carrots with mustard sauce!

Baby carrots are just regular carrots that have been peeled and chopped into smaller pieces which does some of the prep work for you.

But baby carrots and regular carrots have the same sweet flavors and textures so you can use them both to make any side dishes that call for carrots.

So if you are last minute making Easter dinner and need one but have the other, it’s a great thing to know you can use what you have and get the same results.

Instructions

  5. In the same saucepan that is now empty, add butter and melt.
  6. Add brown sugar and mustard. Mix well.

  9. Serve hot.
